Zac Efron hospitalised after swimming pool accident in Ibiza

The Hollywood actor has been traveling to various parts of Europe in recent weeks and most recently attended Prelude To The Olympics at the Louis Vuitton Foundation on July 25 in Paris, France.

Efron has since been spotted having a blast in Ibiza and even joined his close friend Martin Garrix on stage during his DJ set in Ushuaïa in scenes that could have been taken straight from his 2015 film We Are Your Friends..

The 36-year-old is believed to be at a villa somewhere on the island, where he was the victim of a swimming pool incident.

According to reports, Efron was in trouble underwater for unknown reasons and had to be helped out of the water by two villa staff.

He was then taken to hospital yesterday (August 3) as a precaution.

A representative for the actor confirmed that Efron was involved in a minor swimming incident at the villa to TMZ.

Efron is no stranger to being hospitalized for accidents, having nearly died in 2013 during a challenge that left him with a broken jaw.

Efron was reportedly running around his house in socks when he slipped and hit his face on a granite fountain.

As a result, he required surgery and had his jaw wired shut for a period of time. The actor also had to undergo physical therapy afterwards..

Efron has said the accident is what caused the shape of his face to change over the years, as different muscles had to work harder to compensate for his near-fatal injury. As of 2022, he is still in physical therapy trying to correct this..
