Coincidentally, Wednesday also marked Tucker’s 28th birthday.

On Thursday, Hudgens, aged 35, confirmed the birth of her child and criticized paparazzi for invading their privacy.

“We are saddened by the disrespect and exploitation of our family’s privacy during this special time, driven by the pursuit of sensational media,” she expressed on her Instagram story. “Despite this, both mom, dad, and baby are happy and healthy.”

The actress from “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” announced her pregnancy on the Oscars red carpet in March. Serving as co-host of ABC’s “Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!”, she captivated attention in a black turtleneck evening gown designed by Vera Wang Haute, gently cradling her belly while expressing gratitude for the well-wishes from celebrities.

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives of Hudgens for a statement. The gender, name, and birthdate of the baby remain undisclosed.

In an Instagram update on Wednesday, Hudgens didn’t explicitly announce her pregnancy but instead shared heartfelt birthday greetings to her husband, stating, “Happy birthday to my slice of heaven @cotuck 🥳 you make the world a brighter place just by being you ♥️🤟🏽.”

Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker exchanged vows in December.

Hudgens donned a custom Vera Wang gown for her wedding to baseball player Cole Tucker. The surprise pregnancy announcement on the red carpet came just three months after their private ceremony in December, as reported by Vogue and confirmed by Vera Wang, the designer of Hudgens’ wedding dress.

Reflecting on the occasion, Hudgens shared with the outlet, “It truly was the most enchanting weekend of my life. I feel incredibly fortunate that we were able to have an intimate wedding, and it made a difference that I collected everyone’s phones.”

She continued, expressing, “The experience was extraordinary because during dinner, I looked around and saw everyone engaged in conversations—our families and friends coming together, forming genuine connections that I know they will nurture. Witnessing that, and uniting everyone to celebrate our love, was simply magical.”

“Even now, as I talk about it, I feel emotional,” Hudgens admitted. “I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day. I knew it would be special, but it exceeded all my expectations.”

The actress from “Spring Breakers” married the Los Angeles Angels player in a personalized Vera Wang Haute gown—a light ivory slip dress featuring a deep back neckline. Complementing her attire was a light ivory tulle veil adorned with custom embroidery reading “Mrs. T December 2nd, 2023” in gothic lettering.

Their wedding turned into a reunion reminiscent of “High School Musical,” drawing a crowd of Hollywood celebrities, among them Hudgens’ former co-star from “HSM,” Monique Coleman.

When did Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker begin their relationship?

The couple’s romance began in 2020, amidst initial dating speculations. The “High School Musical” star and former Colorado Rockies player made their relationship public on Valentine’s Day in 2021 and announced their engagement almost exactly a year later.

Tucker proposed against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

“I was genuinely surprised. I had casually mentioned that it would be a dream location, but I didn’t dwell on it because I wanted to experience the trip without expectations,” Hudgens shared with Vogue after their wedding. “I simply wanted to savor the moment, and he completely caught me off guard.”
