The UK’s ‘youngest mother ever’ delivers a baby at the age of 12, with her family oblivious to her pregnancy.

An 11-year-old girl, who is believed to be the youngest mother ever in the UK, has given birth with her family reportedly unaware of her pregnancy.

The young girl, who was 10 when she conceived, delivered her baby earlier this month, and both she and her baby are in good health, as reported by The Sun.

Currently, social services are probing the circumstances of the pregnancy and are in conversation with her family, who were oblivious to the pregnancy, according to the newspaper.

A source informed The Sun, “It has been a huge shock. She is now receiving support from experts. The primary concern is that she and the baby are well.

“There are concerns about why people were not aware. That is quite troubling.”

The previously youngest known mother is believed to be Tressa Middleton, who gave birth in 2006 at the age of 12. However, she was compelled to give up her child after admitting that the father was her brother, who had raped her.

Tressa Middleton was Britain’s youngest mum when she had a daughter in 2006.

Tressa, seen with her second child Arihanna, expressed her happiness following the difficulties with her first baby.

The record for the youngest mother in the world is held by a Peruvian girl named Lina Media, who was merely five years and seven months old when she gave birth to a boy named Gerardo in May 1939.
