OnlyFans creator reveals she’s ‘completely broke’ after starting account

An OnlyFans creator has shared how her life drastically changed after starting her OnlyFans account, confessing that she has ‘lost everything’.

While the subscription-based platform might seem like a quick way to earn money, the reality can be quite different.

While there are some OnlyFans creators who go on to make tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars a month, most of these people are already famous in another capacity.

This means that they already have a public profile they can capitalise on to grow their account.

However, for the everyday individual beginning their journey, achieving success on the platform by selling provocative photos is akin to hitting the jackpot.

Regrettably, X-rated creator Sarah learned this lesson the difficult way after launching her OnlyFans account.

The creator initially intended to use OnlyFans as a means to earn money before eventually leaving and starting her own business. However, in a TikTok video she posted, she revealed that her experience has been far from what she anticipated.

She openly admitted, “I’m completely broke. I lost my house, and yeah, I’m just struggling in life right now. I feel like I’ve sacrificed everything for this job. I’ve lost friends, family members, and I’ve put myself in a precarious financial situation.”

Speaking to news.com.au, she reflected on possible reasons for her struggles, stating, “There’s a prevailing societal belief that adult content equals easy money, but those who have spent significant time in this industry understand the market’s saturation and the effort needed to maintain a loyal fan base.”

While there are some big accounts on OnlyFans, the median earnings on the platform come to just $180 a month before taxes.

The top one percent of biggest accounts are making around a third of all revenue on the platform.

But despite finding out it’s not what she expected it to be, the creator from Australia remained sanguine about her situation.

She explained that choosing to become a creator on OnlyFans has helped her to discover a passion for photography and creativity.

Her experience has also helped her to become more confident. She said: “Doing OnlyFans opened the door for me to become more confident in myself and my artistic ability. This job has inspired me to pursue both modelling and photography.”
