Margot Robbie is pregnant with her first baby

Margot Robbie, the 34-year-old Barbie actress, is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, as confirmed by multiple sources. Paparazzi recently captured a photo of Robbie walking down a dock with what seemed to be a small bump visible.

Ackerley, who is also 34 years old, is an English film producer and actor, formerly an assistant director. Alongside his wife, he co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment. The couple initially crossed paths in 2013 during the filming of the World War II drama Suite Française, with Robbie starring and Ackerley working as the assistant director.

As reported by Vogue, Robbie extended invitations to Ackerley, her childhood friend Sophia Kerr, and Josey McNamara to attend the UK premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street in January 2014. The four quickly bonded, and Robbie proposed that they all share a residence. Subsequently, they began renting a home in London, marking the beginning of Robbie and Ackerley’s romantic relationship in 2014.

In a 2018 interview with The Guardian, she revealed, “We kept it under wraps at first. We didn’t really take it seriously. ‘Oh, we’re just friends, we’re just friends.’ And then, everyone found out.” When news spread, Robbie explained that their friends were concerned the relationship might disrupt their circle, likening their household to a brief stint resembling “The Jerry Springer Show.” However, the initial chaos settled, and everything smoothed over. “It didn’t ruin things,” she reflected.

Two years later, in 2016, they quietly exchanged vows in Bryon Bay, Australia, only a short distance from her hometown of Dalby. The affair was so discreet that they didn’t even announce their engagement beforehand.

Their production company has been behind notable films such as “I, Tonya,” which chronicles Tonya Harding’s achievement as the first American woman to complete a triple axel in 1991. Three years later, her former husband orchestrated an attack on Nancy Kerrigan, another aspiring Olympian, leading to one of the most notorious scandals in sports history.

Additionally, they collaborated on “Barbie” and “Birds of Prey,” the 2020 action comedy featuring Robbie in the role of Harley Quinn, originally a supervillain from the Batman universe.
