I AM LEGEND 2 Patient Zero (2024) With Will Smith & Michael B. Jordan

“I Am Legend,” a 2007 American post-apocalyptic action thriller film, takes inspiration from Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel of the same name.
Directed by Francis Lawrence and penned by Akiva Goldsman and Mark Protosevich, the movie stars Will Smith as Robert Neville, a US Army virologist.
Set in a ravaged New York City, the storyline unfolds after a virus designed to cure cancer devastates humanity, leaving Neville as the last human survivor in the city alongside nocturnal mutants. Immune to the virus himself, Neville dedicates his efforts to finding a cure while defending against the aggressive mutants. This adaptation is the third feature-film version of Matheson’s novel, preceded by “The Last Man on Earth” in 1964 and “The Omega Man” in 1971.

“I Am Legend 2” picks up the story years after the events of the first film, with Robert Neville (Will Smith) still navigating the post-apocalyptic landscape of New York City. The virus that once ravaged humanity has continued to mutate, creating new challenges and dangers for Neville. Michael B. Jordan joins the cast as a skilled virologist who teams up with Neville in a desperate quest to find a cure that could save what remains of humanity.

As they venture beyond the boundaries of the city, they encounter not only mutated creatures but also pockets of survivors struggling to rebuild amidst the ruins. The film explores themes of isolation, survival, and the ethical dilemmas of scientific experimentation in a world where the line between humanity and monstrosity is increasingly blurred.
