Claudia Schiffer praises Kylie Jenner’s vintage bikini, shares glamorous ’90s photo wearing the same one.

Schiffer modeled the Chanel bikini on the runway and in the fashion house’s ads.

Supermodel Claudia Schiffer, 53, kicked off “bikini season” with an Instagram post on April 24, featuring a nostalgic throwback alongside fellow icon Helena Christensen, 55. The ’90s snapshot showcased them in Chanel ensembles, including bikinis from the Spring/Summer 1995 RTW collection.

Schiffer’s sleek black bikini mirrors the one worn by Jenner, 26, in her April 6 Instagram post, catching Schiffer’s attention.

“@kyliejenner has the right idea in vintage @chanelofficial ❤️” Schiffer wrote in her caption.

The icon also modeled it on the runway back in 1994, though she wore the red version. Christensen also wore the same suit on the runway (in the sherbet-inspired same colorway as the ad Schiffer shared). Naomi Campbell also rocked the piece on the runway that year.

Jenner wore her vintage piece for a beachy getaway, writing in her Instagram caption, “back in paradise.”

While most of the photos saw Jenner simply posing in her black-and-silver swimsuit, others focused on the locale. One image even showed Jenner’s vibrant nails, a closer look at the rings she was wearing and her wet hair — all of which completed the beach-day look.

Schiffer’s influence, along with Chanel’s, has been a fashion blueprint for many, even inspiring Margot Robbie in her portrayal of Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s film last year.

In homage to Schiffer’s iconic looks from the Spring/Summer 1995 RTW show, Robbie donned another ensemble while promoting Barbie: a coral and black crop top paired with a black skirt. The ensemble featured a collared top adorned with a flower-shaped blue, red, and coral piece of jewelry on the bust, complemented by a skirt adorned with Chanel’s iconic logo on a gold chain.

In the film, Margot Robbie also dons an archival Chanel ensemble, previously worn by Schiffer. Chanel released a behind-the-scenes video featuring Robbie, highlighting the house’s designs in the film. Robbie expressed excitement about wearing several pieces, with one in particular standing out.

Robbie remarked, “There were some incredible outfits that I actually got to wear that Claudia Schiffer herself, who’s kind of like a real-life Barbie, wore. In fact, one of the archival suits that I wore had a little label that said ‘Claudia’ on it. And I was like, ‘Wow!'”
