Amsterdam police seek to arrest Nicki Minaj for alleged drug possession.

Amsterdam authorities made an attempt to apprehend Nicki Minaj on suspicion of drug possession, based on information from an Instagram Live session and several posts shared by the rap superstar on Saturday.

In the Live video, an official’s voice can be discerned expressing the intention to detain the Grammy nominee for purportedly “carrying drugs,” a claim she refuted.

While appearing to be at an airport, Minaj, 41, contested, “I’m not going in there. I need a lawyer present.”

Following some objections, the video of the rapper known for “Barbie World” displayed her entering a police vehicle.

Subsequently, she expressed worry about her upcoming performance, prompting reassurance from an officer that efforts would be made to transport her there promptly.

Currently touring with her “Pink Friday 2” World Tour, Minaj had a scheduled show in Manchester, England, on Saturday evening. It remains uncertain whether she was indeed taken to a police station.

In a post shared via X on Saturday, she wrote, “now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls.”

Minaj also posted on X about the ordeal as it was happening.

Weed is legal in Amsterdam for up to 5 milligrams per person.

“Remember, they confiscated my bags without my permission. My security has already informed them that those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh, and the pilot is requesting that I remove my Instagram post.”

Her latest update on X, posted at 10:51 a.m. ET, states, “Now they’re saying I have to go 5 minutes away to provide a statement about my security at the police precinct.”

A video shared on Instagram Saturday morning appears to corroborate her earlier statements.

On Saturday morning, Nicki Minaj posted a video on Instagram where an official can be seen informing her that all of her bags must undergo a search.

The video began with an official informing her that a thorough check of all her luggage was necessary.

“Wasn’t that your original plan? Why wasn’t it searched before boarding?” Minaj queried.

The official proceeded to clarify that authorities had initially conducted a random quick check but now deemed a full search necessary. When the “Bang Bang” rapper inquired about the reason, he responded, “Primarily because you recorded him… He doubts that you don’t have more belongings than you claim.”

Minaj is currently on her “Pink Friday 2” World Tour.

In her defense, Minaj clarified that there had been a misunderstanding. “No, he asked me if there were any more items in those purses, and I responded, ‘No.’ Then I asked, ‘Where are my bags?’ They took my bags and loaded them onto the plane before I could identify which ones were on board.”

In another post shared on X Saturday morning, the musician asserted, “I’m still in my car. They took my luggage without my consent. They lied and claimed it was loaded onto the jet.”

She also accused her former team of intentionally obstructing her from reaching her upcoming show so that “negative stories” could be circulated about her. “Jealousy is a disease. You know the rest,” she criticized.
