After broadcasting the guest on live television, Joy Behar finally meets her.

On *The View* that aired Friday, Joy Behar had a spat with ABC News’ Political Director Rick Klein. The tension came when Klein suggested on the show that Behar look for another job, sparking off a contentious discussion on politics and forth coming midterm elections.

While speaking to Klein, Behar asked why journalists only talk about gasoline prices without mentioning anything about Republican solutions which she considered a follow-up question after harsh on air spat with the ABC boss. In jest, Klein offered Behar employment but she declined as she continued to make her case.

Even though she turned 80 this month, Behar is still holding on to The View and has signed another contract dismissing retirement rumors. “I have no plans to retire. I’m here for the long haul,” she said unequivocally.

Throughout her time on the show, Behar has been marked by resilience; in 2013 she was briefly sacked but returned two years later. “We still don’t know why they dumped me,” she said looking back at the experience.
