Aerosmith retirement cancels shows at Prudential Center and Madison Square Garden

Aerosmithand’s abrupt touring break has canceled the band’s concerts later this year at the Prudential Center and next year’s Madison Square Garden. 

Peace Out’s farewell tour with The Black Crowes was scheduled to take place in Newark on December 28 and New York on February 23, but 76-year-old frontman Steven Tyler is still in attendance. Tyler is battling a vocal cord injury (which forced the tour to be postponed last year).

"Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. “It has taken months of tireless work to regain his pre-injury voice. We have watched him struggle despite having the best medical team at his side. Unfortunately, it is clear that he has not fully recovered from his injury. “We have made a heartbreaking and difficult but necessary decision as a band of brothers to step away from touring,” Aerosmith said in a social media announcement Friday.

The tour is scheduled to resume on September 9. 20 in Pittsburgh with 24 days this year and 13 more in early 2024..

For tickets purchased through Ticketmaster, the band said &”you will automatically be refunded – you don’t need to do anything else.&”

As of Friday evening, there was no announcement on the Ticketmaster website about refunds for the tour.
